Tuva Novotny is a Swedish actress, director, and singer. She has directed the films Blind Spot, which she also wrote, and Britt-Marie Was Here, which she co-wrote.
She is the daughter of Barbro Hedström (Barbro Margareta Hedström), an artist, and David Jan Novotný, a novelist, scriptwriter, and professor of dramaturgy. Her father was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Her mother was born in Enskede, Stockholm, Sweden. Tuva was brought up in Åmot, Värmland. Tuva has a daughter with Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen; and one child with actor Alexander Skarsgård.
