Travis “T-Bone” Turner is a well-known archer champion and a television personality who has been one of the three hosts of the Outdoor Channel’s hunting reality television series “Michael Waddell’s Bone Collector” along with Michael Waddell, and Nick Mundt. The trio was known for their brotherhood, sportsmanship, and passion for the game and hunting.
Turner shared the devastating news with his followers on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram on 1st February 2022, that he had a knot on his right leg’s shin which grew to the size of a golf ball by mid of August 2021.
He also shared that it was revealed after an MRI that he had several tumors in his right leg. When the largest of them busted and started bleeding, a biopsy was performed.
Turner revealed that after the biopsy was conducted, he was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma, a form of fast-growing cancer. To treat this, he was suggested by the doctor to amputate his leg above the knee as the cancer was about to affect his lungs. The surgery was performed in the first week of February, and Turner informed his followers about the same through a FaceBook post on 9th February 2022.
Turner turned 42 this year, he was born on the 8th of August 1980 in Dayton, Ohio, United States.
Turner is married to Michelle who is a teacher at Coweta County School in Coweta County, Georgia. The couple dated each other for around two and a half years before tieing the knot in December 2013. They have a son named Archer born in September 2005.
