Styles P Says Biggie's Arizona Ron Could've Been A Movie

Styles P thinks The Notorious B.I.G.’s Arizona Ron character on “N-ggas Bleed” from Life After Death could be a movie on the level of Scarface.

During his visit to Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast, Styles reflected on the song taken from Biggie’s second studio album and said the story behind the character Arizona Ron felt like a motion picture. The song itself details a successful robbery involving Biggie, Ron and a group of people.

According to Styles, the picture that Big painted of Arizona Ron on the song was so vivid that it could give Scarface some competition if it was to become an actual film.

“Think about it, let’s be for real,” Styles said. “Arizona Ron is a movie. His life alone is a movie. If someone like me was in a room with Martin Scorcese, listen to this, that is a movie. That is your 2024, 2025, 2026 Scarface, Arizona Ron story. Think about it.”

In the song, Ron is someone that lives out in Tucson, Arizona, with a lengthy criminal past, who drives a black GMC Yukon SUV. According to Big, Ron is the perfect person for a robbery job, given he’s been on America’s Most Wanted and even killed his baby mother’s brother.

The scene plays out with Biggie and Ron successfully robbing the spot and getting away unscathed when their opposition finally arrives to assess the theft, not knowing the rapper and his friend walked right by them.

Arizona Ron and Scarface have more in common than people think, as they both live criminal lives and have killed their fair share of people. Biggie may have predicted the comparison to Scarface as his character has a state in his name, just like Tony Montana from the 1983 film.

The Notorious B.I.G.’s second studio album, Life After Death, was posthumously released in March 1997 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving 690,000 copies in its first week.

The project was nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance for its first single, “Hypnotize”, and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Mo Money Mo Problems” at the 1998 Grammy Awards. It’s also widely considered one of the greatest Hip Hop albums of all time.

Last year, Styles sat down for an interview on the Bigface Gary Show where he gave one of his good friends the greatest MC of all time title, and he wasn’t taking any debates.

“Biggie is the greatest MC that has ever existed,” Styles said in the clip. The Bigface Gary Show host said that the only reason Biggie wouldn’t get that title is because of his untimely death but insisted he loved the late Brooklyn icon.

“No you don’t,” said Styles in response to the host announcing his love for Biggie. “You don’t love him enough to understand.”
